Moulin Bambou is very well-decorated and is located in a beautiful setting on the banks of the river Le Clain. We provide a canoe, a paddle board and a pedal boat, which can be used under your own responsibility.
On the ground floor parts of the former the water mill have been preserved, the mechanical part and the wheel of the mill. If you are interested, we will let you visit this part.
The space
Ground floor:
On the first level there is a large dining room and a kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction hob, fridge, small freezer, microwave, kettle, dishwasher, oven, toaster and coffee machine (filter and Nespresso). All basic needs are available. There is a laundry room with washing machine and a dryer. A bathroom with a shower with massage jets, a sink, a hairdryer and a towel radiator. A separate toilet.
A living room with television, DVD player, hi-fi, books and games. A part of the mill has been preserved.
1st floor:
The dining room gives access to a living / playroom with television, DVD player, desk, sitting area with games and a double bed. There is a separate play corner for the children. A bathroom with shower with massage jets, sink, hairdryer and a toilet.
The living room gives access to a large bedroom with a double bed and a private bathroom with shower, sink, hairdryer and toilet.
2nd floor:
The third level can be reached from the living / playroom. There are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Two bedrooms with a double bed, a desk and storage space. A bathroom with shower with massage jets, sink, hairdryer and a toilet.
Outside:
Nice terrace overlooking the river with the dam. The terrace had a table, armchairs, sunbeds and a plancha (barbecue). A large parking with a hedge of bamboo plants and a small garden.
You can canoe and paddle upstream for 3 hours. You can fish on (black) perch, pike, zander, catfish and carp.
All ingredients are there for a relaxing holiday with a variety of activities near the mill. Visit amusement park Futuroscope (17 km), Golf du Haut Poitou (2 km) and discover the originally Gallo-Roman city in old part of Poitiers (4 km).

Fantastisch huis, heel ruim en prachtig gelegen aan de rivier. Hartelijke ontvangst met een rondleiding door de vele kamers, alles is met veel liefde en zorg ingericht. Bijzonder om op veel plekken elementen van de oude molen terug te zien. Heerlijk groot terras met comfortabel meubilair en extra kookgelegenheid. De keuken was extreem goed uitgerust, meerdere badkamers, overal lagen badjassen, slippers, handdoeken, lekker snoepjes, flesjes water en toiletbenodigdheden klaar voor de gasten. Het dorp is klein, boodschappen doen gaat prima, maar geen restaurants en leuk terrasje, daarvoor moet je even in de auto. Jean Paul is bijzonder vriendelijk, wel spreekt hij alleen Frans (en wij niet..) maar de belangrijkste aanwijzingen waren in meerdere talen geprint beschikbaar dus dat was geen probleem. Leuk dat je de beschikking hebt over een kano, waterfiets, sup en visgerei. Superplek om even een weekje te genieten van rust, ruimte en natuur.
