This authentic holiday home is called Elena and it is used to be a watermill. It is an idyllic paradise for anyone who loves quit wildlife, the ambiance in and around the house is pleasant.
Situated in a green valley surrounded by pine forest with numerous hiking and cycling trails. 1.5 kilometers from the village of Sauveterre-la-Lémance where there is a bakery and a small supermarket.
The space
Ground floor:
The cottage is divided into different floors. On the ground floor there is a cozy living room with a seating area by the fireplace.
1st floor:
A staircase leads you to the first floor. On the left a kitchen with bar and a dining room. The kitchen includes a gas stove with 4 burners, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and a wood stove. Out of the kitchen you reach the garden with terrace at the side of the house.
Adjacent to the dining area there is a childrens bedroom with a childbed. Fully equipped for babies and small children.
On this floor there are 3 bedrooms:
2 bedrooms with double beds
1 bedroom with small bed
A bathroom with bath, shower, sink and washing machine. There is a separate toilet in the hallway.
2nd floor:
A small staircase leads you to the library room with a sofa, reading table and a bookcase. From the library room another small staircase leads you to the open attic with double bed. There is a second bathroom with douche.
Outside:
A terrace overlooking the river. The adjoining garden has a shed which serves as storage for the sunbeds, bbq and a rowing boat which may be used.
On the other side of the house is a chicken coop with two chickens. There is also a wooden chalet especially made for children with lots of toys and a sleeping area.
A bucological swimming pool in Villefranche (8 km), a biological swimming pool in Lacapelle-Biron (10 km), Parc-en-Ciel with a rope course, a free and guarded lake at Frayssinet le Gelat (10 km) and the possibility of canoeing in Dordogne, Lot and even in Fumel.
Every evening a market of different producers in Sauveterre, Loubejac, Montcabrier, etc ... all this between Lot-et-Garonne, Dordogne, Lot, in a radius of 5 km!
In September, October, the harvest in Quercy, chestnuts and porcini mushrooms in the Perigord, plums in Chasselas in Lot-et-Garonne and related festivals.

Mooie rustige natuurlijke omgeving. Lekker koel huis als het buiten erg warm is. Veel ruimte in huis. Ook veel ruimte om het huis voor kinderen die graag buiten spelen. Er is zelfs een apart huisje vol kinderspeelgoed.
Downsides
Instructies om wegwijs te raken in het huis waren erg mager. Zijn bijvoorbeeld zelf opzoek moeten gaan naar het gevraagde linnengoed, lag niet op een logische plek. We wisten dat er niemand voor ontvangst aanwezig zou zijn en de sleuteloverdracht is ook goed gegaan, maar toch wel fijn als de beheerder zich toch nog laat zien of een telefoonnummer achterlaat voor vragen. In het informatieboek stond dat de beheerder nog wel langs zou komen, maar dat is nooit gebeurd.
