This beautiful 17th century mansion is located between Villeréal and Monflanquin. This mansion is located in the countryside, in the heart of our own agricultural land (grain production). The lands surrounding are our own property. The entire site is reserved for our tenants. This guarantees calm, tranquility and a total disconnection during your holidays.
The space
1 The courtyard
The shaded courtyard is approximately 200 m². There is sufficient lighting, a large garden table with chairs so that you can dine with family or friends, play cards or other board games. There is a stone barbecue at your disposal. There is enough parking space for multiple cars and one of the garages is at your disposal. There are 8 bicycles for adults and 2 children's bicycles at your disposal against good care. There are also outdoor games such as petanque and football goals.
2 The house
It is a mansion of 320 m² that has been in our family since 1906 and it includes the following rooms. The hall with the wifi point (VPN connection), as well as information about the house and the emergency numbers.
The large living room with a flat screen TV (48 inches), a library (books in French and in English) and a large sofa. A small lounge with different board games (Monopoly, pictionary, chess game, puzzles and games for children) or consult the tourist documents that are at your disposal.
The kitchen with dining room is equipped with everything needed for cooking. The electrical equipment includes: coffee machine, kettle, toaster, hob, oven, extractor fan, fridge, freezer and microwave. Kitchen linen (2 tea towels and 1 towel) are included in the rent.
Next to the kitchen is a laundry room with a sink, a washing machine, 2 drying racks, an ironing board and iron, electric plate and the necessities to do the household (vacuum cleaner, mop, broom).
The 5 bedrooms, some are connected through the old doors that have been remained during the renovation. The rooms are named after the first names of 5 generations who lived in this house. The bed linen is included in the rent and is provided free of charge.
These rooms have a similar layout, the rooms Yasmine and Alma have a double bed, bedside tables and wardrobes. In Laurent et Virginie, Jean and Julie, there are single beds (90 × 200) and children's beds for the children.
Single beds can be pushed together and made up as a double bed (160 × 200).
The first bathroom (between the rooms Laurent et Virginie and Alma) has a sink and a bathtub. The second bathroom is located next to the laundry room and is equipped with a walk-in shower, a bath and double sinks. Hairdryers are available, as well as the towels (a large one of 140x70 cm and a small one of 40x70 cm per person). Adjacent to the bathrooms are the toilets.
On request we can also prepare baby equipment: 2 baby beds, a small crib, a changing table with changing mat, 2 child seats (type Combelle), a booster seat for meals and a freestanding bathtub. We also provide fitted sheets and a bathrobe for the little ones.
3 The park and the swimming pool.
You will be entrusted with a shady park of 2500 m². A playground for children or a place of relaxation with a view of the bastide of Monflanquin.
The swimming pool is 11 x 5 meters, it has a flat bottom (from 0.90 m to 1.40 m deep) and is equipped with an electrical cover. The pool house is equipped with a separate toilet, sun beds, sun loungers and an outdoor shower.

Location
Located in the heart of "des Bastides and Haut Agenais", on the edge of the Périgord and near the village of Monflanquin. Discover the so-called "Black Prince" House and Museum Bastide. The village has a very nice central square, a bakery, a supermarket, restaurants and every Thursday morning there is a market on the Place de Arcades.
Nearby are the characteristic villages Villeneuve-sur-Lot, Pujols, Villereal and Monpazier. You can visit castles, caves with prehistoric paintings or the vineyards of Cahors Montbazillac.At 20 km is the amusement park called "Parc en Ciel".

Prachtig comfortabel huis op een schitterende locatie, met een heerlijk zwembad. We hebben echt genoten van de rust en ruimte en het prachtig uitzicht rondom.
We komen hier graag nog een keer terug!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying in the Bousquetou chateau August 2022, upon visiting for a family wedding.
We were extremely impressed by the size of the bedrooms and kitchen, which paired with the garden made hosting family BBQ's a pleasure. Despite the authenticity and age, the chateau was well-equipped for the modern, sizable party- with a dishwasher, coffee machine and laundry facilities.
The swimming pool and social area were delightful and the unexpected views of Monflanquin-- an added bonus!
Downsides
An extra bathroom would be adventitious, as would a stronger source of wifi- with the current proividing little-to-poor connection.

Geweldige plek, geweldig huis en een beheerder die je wil helpen als dat nodig is.
Ligt afgelegen, veel rust en ruimte.
Een koel huis wat in de zomer voordelen heeft. Wij zaten savonds en smorgend in de grote keuken met de houtkachel aan. Het aanbod gehad om verwarming te gebruiken, die was nu afgesloten. Omdat het overdag mooi weer was en wij weg of buiten waren dit niet gedaan, is moeilijk tegen aan te stoken.
Grote hoge ruimtes allemaal.
Een groot prachtig compleet huis, prachtige tuin met een fijn, (wel koud) zwembad.
